Ricardo Flores Set To Take On The Rolex 24
Lira Motorsports driver Ricardo Flores is joining the Muehlner Motorsports America driver lineup for the 2015 Rolex 24 At Daytona.
Flores has experience on the 3.56 mile Daytona road course from participating in the Roar Before The Rolex 24 less than two weeks ago. He is also schedule to race a Ford Mustang Boss 302R in the 2.5 hour BMW Performance 200 on the day before the Rolex 24.
This will be Ricardo’s first race in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship series. He raced in four IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar GS races last year, collecting a top ten
finish at the Circuit of The Americas. He is also a four-time Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) race winner.
“To have the opportunity to race in the Rolex 24 at Daytona is incredible,” Ricardo commented. “This is America’s most enduring endurance race, with a history dating back to the 1960’s. It’s a combination of power and prestige like almost no other race in the world. I’m so excited to be a part of it.”
The Lima, Peru native will be in the team’s No. 19 Porsche 911 GT America entry, joining Muehlner Motorsports America drivers Jim Michaelian and Connor De Phillippi, as well as fellow Lira Motorsports driver Michael Lira.
With over 35 years in racing, collecting more than 100 victories and eight Championships, Mühlner Motorsport is recognized as one of the world’s most successful race teams in existence. The team US division, founded in 2010, is headquarters in nearby DeLand, Florida.
