HEATHER LYNN JOINS LIRA MOTORSPORTS FOR THE RED EYE 100
PORT ORANGE, FL (December 28, 2015)—Lira Motorsports announces today that Heather Lynn, will compete in the Red Eye 100, Zack Donatti Memorial Pro-Late Model 100 at the New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on January 2, 2016.
Heather Lynn, a 19-year old, from Penn Yann, N.Y., and current Charlotte, N.C., resident will pilot the No. 57 Lira Motorsports Pro-Late Model during the Red Eye 100. Lynn will use her notes and knowledge of how the track and car react from the private testing event she attended earlier this month with the team. Along with that, she will have the teams Driver Development and Recruitment coordinator, Michael Lira, who won four previous races at the New Smyrna Speedway in 2015, on-site for advice.
“As I head into my first stock car race I have a lot of emotions going through my head. I’m hoping everything goes well, if anything I am ready to learn as much as possible to help me in future races,” said Lynn. “I still can’t believe that my first race is here and I’ve been preparing hard for it! I can’t thank everyone enough at Lira Motorsports for helping me out and to my Dad and Carlos for making everything possible”.
The talented rookie looks to strap-in behind the wheel of the Pro-Late Model and strive for success.
The Red Eye 100, Zack Donatti Memorial Pro-Late Model 100 will have an open practice to all divisions on Friday, January 1. On Saturday, January 2, pit gates are set to open at 1:00 p.m. (ET) with practice set to begin at 3 p.m. (ET), pre-race ceremonies beginning at 7:10 p.m. (ET), and racing to begin at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
