JEFF MYERS JR. HEADS SOUTH FOR ARCA TEST AT DAYTONA
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 14, 2016)—2015 ARCA Tuck Series Champion and current Motorsports Engineering student, Jeff Myers Jr. will join Lira Motorsports at the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards open test this week (January 15-16) at the Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
Jeff Myers Jr. a Lambertville, Michigan native began his racing career at the age of five behind the wheel of go-karts. In 2012, Jeff Myers Jr. jumped at the opportunity of running a Sportsman car when ARCA changed the ruling allowing a 15-year old to compete. This was the opening door in his racing career. Later that year, Jeff Jr. was awarded with the 2012 ARCA Sportsman Rookie of the Year award along with a special achievement award for being the first 15-year old to compete in a weekly series at the Toledo Speedway. In 2013 he won his first heat race that left a standing impression, and earned himself a solid seventh place finish in the driver points standings. As for 2014, Jeff Jr. had advanced himself into the ARCA Truck series where he finished fifth overall in the point standings and claimed the 2014 Rookie of the Year title.
In his sophomore year in the ARCA Truck Series Jeff Jr. claimed four wins which led him to be crowned the 2015 ARCA Truck Series Champion.
Jeff Myers Jr. will see the “World Center of Racing” for the first time behind the wheel of one of the Lira Motorsports four car Ford Fusion fleet this week.
