Lira Motorsports is a multi-car, multi-series race team owned by Carlos and Amanda Lira. Our team competes in ARCA Racing Series, NASCAR Whelen All-American Late Model and IMSA/sportscar events nationwide. Our team’s ARCA operations are headquartered from an 18,000 square foot race shop in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our late model team operates from a total of 12,000 square feet of race shop space in Port Orange, Florida, just minutes from Daytona International Speedway.
For 2015, Our team will field up to four cars in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. David Levine will pilot the teams No. 59 car full time, while Michael Lira will compete in 16 of the 20 race schedule in the No. 58 entry. The team will also field car numbers 38 and 36 for additional drivers competing on part time schedules.
Our ARCA efforts are led by competition director Teddy Brown. Brown is a veteran crew chief with years of experience and success in the ARCA Racing Series. In the last three years, he has scored 32 top fives and 45 top 10s and he has several marquis victories to his name.
In the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge series, Lira Motorsports drivers will compete in cars fielded by Racers Edge Motorsports.
Additionally, our team fields Late Model entries for Michael Lira, and for development driver Blake Cejner, at select races at New Smyrna Speedway as well as other tracks.
Michael’s younger brother, Alex Lira, will also see track time with a schedule of Tony Kart training and events in Orlando, FL.
