Chance Jewels Starts 2019 Racing Season at New Smyrna Speedway

PORT ORANGE, FL (January 4, 2019) – The 2019 racing season will start on January 5 at New Smyrna Speedway for Lira Motorsports driver, Chance Jewels, as he will be taking the wheel of the #24 Pro-Late Model (PLM) in the Red Eye 50/50.
“The opportunity to race a Pro-Late Model at New Smyrna is awesome.,” Chance Jewels said. “Driving a different type of race car than what I’m used to really helps me be a more diverse race car driver. These different experiences will help me to grow as driver and further my racing career. I can’t wait to get on track on Saturday night and show my talents.”

Jewels has burst on to the racing scene in a big way in 2018, securing the prestigious SCCA Southeast Division Championship along with several wins in the 2018 SCCA Majors Tour.

“I’d really like to thank Lira Motorsports for the opportunity to show what I can do with a Pro Late Model. It means a lot to me to have Lira Motorsports owner, Carlos Lira, coach me through these new experiences as I further my racing career. I also want to thank my sponsors; Title Root, ReMax Town Center, All Florida Custom Homes, Fidelity Bank Mortgage, Royal Palm Pest Control, and Cabinetry Masters.com. Without their support, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do and for that I am very grateful that they believe in me as a driver.”

Jewels will be on-track in the PLM race on Saturday, January 5, at New Smyrna Speedway, 3939 State Rd 44 in New Smyrna Beach. Racing starts at 7:30pm.
